Experiences in the Field
Below are additional resources for getting outside to explore birds:

We helped develop this virtual self-guided tour at Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Alviso in partnership with the SF Bay Wildlife Society.
Birding the Bay Area Series
We hosted a Birding the Bay Area virtual talk series featuring several local birding organizations to highlight a few amazing spots to explore birds:
- Part 1: Ohlone Audubon, Golden Gate Audubon, and Mt. Diablo Audubon – Alameda, San Francisco, and Contra Costa counties
- Part 2: Santa Clara Valley Audubon – Santa Clara county
- Part 3: Madrone Audubon and Napa-Solano Audubon – Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties

Hover of these infographics on birding and click the arrows in the top right corner to scroll through each image. The slides on the left about how and where to find birds, general birding tips, and how to bird ethically were created by SFBBO volunteer Emma Reddy. The slides on the right cover what is birding, how to bird, the benefits of birding, and how to make your birding count. Want to download these and share them? You can right click and save them. All the information in the infographics on the right is also available as a 1-page PDF.
